Today’s session started with ascending weight paused squats, 60/100/140/180/200/180/140/100/100KG

 

Long pauses make a weight feel a HELL of a lot heavier!! it can make a fairly easy weight feel very tough!

 

At the moment, i am aiming to grow my VMO (teardop) and increase the thickness of my legs from the side.  Full depth squats casue the largest VMO engagement and ALSO engage glutes and hams….so, they kill 2 birds with one stone!

 

Ive seen a lot of people posting videos of the repping heavy weights and getting nowhere close to 90º, to me….if you dont squat to AT LEAST 90º….drop the weight and do it properly, dont let your EGO take over your training!
